e-Mercedes G-Class Convertible Rocks the Off-Road World!

Hold onto your hats, G-Wagen aficionados! A once-humble Mercedes-Benz G-Class G320, a two-door soft-top rarity, has been electrified into a Tesla-powered off-road monster. Unveiled at the glitzy SEMA 2023 this brainchild of Canadian custom car shop Trick Factory let us peek behind the curtain of its electrifying transformation.

The journey begins with stripping the SUV and beefing it up with a G63 conversion kit. But wait, there’s more – it’s a full-on body transformation, with precision laser cutting and 3D wizardry shaping new parts, including OSX disc brakes, a beefed-up G Squared-style suspension, and a cabin that screams luxury with AMG CLA seats and dual touchscreens.

The third installment of their four-part video series has us drooling over the completed axles, suspension, and brakes, not to mention a custom aluminum cage for the lithium-ion batteries. It’s like watching Frankenstein’s monster come to life, but way cooler and with a lot more horsepower.

But the million-dollar question remains – can this electric G-Wagen convertible tear up the off-road as well as it turns heads? Fingers crossed, we’ll soon see this electrified giant leaving more than just tire tracks in its wake.
