Up next Vintage Renault Cars Go Electric with R-Fit EV Conversions Published on August 21, 2025 Author Rob Ward Share article Facebook 0 Twitter 0 Mail 0 The Future Is Electric And It’s in Our Hands Why We’re Really Here Most of us aren’t flipping through EV Builder’s Guide because of government mandates. If you’re reading this, chances are you’re here for the instant torque, the efficiency, the quiet power, and the incredible creative potential that comes with electric drivetrains. Whatever your thoughts are on policy, there is one thing most of us can agree on—EVs are here to stay. Lately, with EVs making headlines in a more political light, people have been reaching out and asking if I’m worried about the future of electric vehicles or about our company, Legacy EV. And sure, policy plays a role. Some regulations make things easier, and some make things harder. But what keeps me confident in the future is simple: the technology is proven and still has the undeniable potential to change transportation as we know it. Now, more than ever, is the time to show just how bada** electric vehicles can be. And no one is better positioned to do that than EV builders like yourselves. Without mandates in the spotlight, there’s no more “the government’s taking away gas cars” argument to fall back on. So when you pull into a car show with your Tesla-swapped ride, the conversation changes. Now it’s just about performance. It’s time to go toe-to-toe with every LS out there. Make ‘em jealous. Make ‘em wonder how much it’s going to cost to rip out that old fuel-injected sh*t and join the next era in automotive performance—where volt, amp, and torque do the talking. EVs are awesome. That’s why we’re here. Let’s get out there and remind people. ABOUT ROB AND MAV Rob and Mavrick are the co-founders of Legacy EV, an aftermarket EV parts supplier and training provider. Rob is a lifelong gearhead converted to EV enthusiast because of the performance that the powertrain provides, while Mav has been driving EVs since they only had a 72-mile range (a bit of an early adopter you could say). Together they bring the yin and yang of hype and realism, burn-outs and earth-day parades, that help Legacy EV be the industry leader that it is today.
