The Widebody Tesla Model 3 That Breaks Every Rule

The Custom Widebody Model 3 That’s Turning Heads

In the ever-expanding world of modified electric vehicles, some builds stand out as true showstoppers. And then there’s Floridian William Madayag’s 2021 Tesla Model 3, a machine so radically transformed that it doesn’t just turn heads—it spins them 360 degrees. Known as “Lowbatt”, this widebody, air-ride, carbon-laden beast is redefining what a Tesla can be. From its forged carbon-fiber-drenched interior to its aggressive CMST widebody kit and swan-neck spoiler, this one-of-a-kind EV is as much an art piece as it is a daily driver. And the best part? Will built it while juggling his career as a chef and his love for custom cars.

Gas Guzzler to Electric Head-Turner

Will wasn’t even in the market for an EV when he stumbled into Tesla ownership. “I was actually planning on buying a Jeep Gladiator,” he admits. But as gas prices skyrocketed, his wife nudged him towards an electric alternative. Enter the Model 3—a car he originally saw as a practical daily driver but quickly realized had massive tuning potential. “Coming from the modified car world, I was used to tuning imports,” he says. “When I saw the Model 3’s sleek design, I thought, ‘this car needs to be built, not just driven.’” Two years, countless hours, and $20,000 later, Lowbatt is now one of the wildest, most custom Model 3s on the planet.

This car needs to be built, not just driven.

With its Viola Purple Metallic paint, forged carbon fiber details, and aggressive aero, Lowbatt looks ready to take on the world.

Widebody Madness

The first thing that grabs your attention—aside from the deep Porsche Viola Purple Metallic paint—is the extreme widebody stance. The CMST V2 widebody kit, modified with custom purple forged carbon fiber overlays, extends the car’s presence by several inches, giving it a commanding road presence usually reserved for exotic supercars. This isn’t a bolt-on kit, either. Will spent three months modifying and molding the kit, ensuring a flawless integration with the bodywork. The key parts comprise of the custom purple forged carbon fiber front lip, the custom CMST side skirts and rear diffuser, Infused with chopped forged carbon fiber, giving it a marbled, high-tech finish. Then there is the One-of-One Custom Swan Neck Spoiler, of course also in purple forged carbon fiber, plus the Omnique Tint Bronze Chrome Window Tint giving the car a futuristic, mirror-like finish that shifts depending on the lighting. And cherry on top, the Zrackets Custom Ski Box Mount & Inno 660 Ski Box for looks and practicality for family man Will. “The crazy part?” Will grins. “I originally wrapped it before a major car show. But a week before, my friend called and said, ‘let’s paint it instead.’ So we did… in just seven days!”

The CMST widebody kit, paired with deep-dish Avant Garde wheels, makes this Model 3 look straight out of a video game.

The Man Behind Lowbatt – William Madayag turned his Tesla Model 3 into a next-level widebody showpiece, packed with custom carbon and air suspension magic.

Slammed to Perfection

Sitting lower than your average sports car, Lowbatt rides on a full Airlift 3H air suspension system, giving it an aggressive tuck while maintaining driveability. The whole drivetrain has been redone, with the FlyAir Performance Struts & Bags kit offering a great balance of comfort and show stance, letting the Model 3 sit low when parked, high when needed. Then comes the MP Performance Control Arms, dialing in the wide stance for precision handling. Last brand new wheels complete the look thanks to some staggered custom deep-dish forged Avant Garde F141 Wheels (Front: 19×11 -25 offset and 19×12 -15 offset in the rear), wrapped in massive 265/30R19 front and 285/30R19 Yokohama Advan Sport V107 Tires. Despite its ultra-low ride height, Will’s air suspension lets him clear speed bumps and potholes at the push of a button. “It rides like stock, but it looks like a show car,” he laughs.

Yokohama Advan Sport V107 tires are staggered 265/30R19 front & 285/30R19 rear to provide supercar-like grip.

A Galaxy of Forged Carbon

Inside, we’re transported into another dimension. Will’s obsession with forged carbon fiber is evident everywhere. Some custom forged carbon sun visors and door panels all feature a galaxy flake finish, shimmering under the lights. The forged carbon steering wheel, with an NRG quick-release hub and custom buttons relocation, making it feel like a racecar cockpit. But that’s not all, Will had some superb baby booster seats made. Last, some RGB Interior Lighting & Fiber Optic Starlight Headliner give the cabin a celestial glow at night, while the Hansshow Touchscreen Displays upgrade the cab. “The interior was one of the easiest parts,” Will says. “I worked with Eric Lewis at Karbon Works to design a one-of-a-kind galaxy theme.”

This widebody, air-ride, carbon-laden beast is redefining what a Tesla can be.

No build is complete without earth-shaking audio, and Lowbatt delivers big time. Will installed custom subwoofers and a tidal amp setup featuring two Infinity 8-inch subs, fiber optic star lighting, and LED displays! Oh, and in case you were wondering—the trunk isn’t just for storage. It doubles as a mobile DJ booth, complete with a built-in boombox system.

Ultimate Show & Go Tesla

From daily driver to widebody showstopper, Lowbatt demonstrates that EVs can be just as extreme as their gas-powered counterparts. What started as a simple purchase to save on gas turned into one of the most modified Model 3s in the country—and Will isn’t stopping anytime soon.“My advice to anyone wanting to build an EV? Plan it out, research everything, and don’t be afraid to connect with other builders,” he says. And if you’re ever at a show in Florida, just look for the impossibly wide, deep purple Tesla Model 3 with a ski box on top. Trust us—you can’t miss it.
